Kent County Council says it's issuing legal proceedings against Home Secretary and MP for Witham Priti Patel over the child migrant crisis.
The local authority says services are overwhelmed by the number of unaccompanied children crossing the Channel in small boats.
They say other councils should "take their fair share".
So far this year, 242 child migrants have arrived on the Kent coast and been passed on to children's services.
