A large fire has broken out in an industrial estate in Chelmsford. A number of residents have confirmed seeing a fire and large clouds of smoke billowing from the industrial estate by Westway Road.
Firefighters are on the scene of a fire at a scrap metal recycling building on Robjohns Road in Chelmsford.
Local businesses and residents are being advised by to keep their windows and doors shut as the fire is producing a lot of smoke.
They are also urging people to avoid the area to keep traffic to a minimum.
